JD Oahu Trip

This is Hanama Bay, a beautiful living coral reef, full of so many varieties of beautiful and very large fish, although it is very shallow. We both enjoy snorkeling.

This is Iolani Palace where the last reigning queen, Lili'uokalani was imprisoned for 8 months as the military(white landowners and business men) took over the island in 1893. She was an amazing woman who composed many songs, like "Aloha 'Oe."

This picture was taken from Ala Moana Park which is just as lovely as Waikiki, but not as crowded. It is a favorite of the locals; the tourists were all across the street at their HUGE shopping center. You can see Diamond Head just past the high rises at Waikiki.

This is the national memorial cemetery of the pacific located in the puowaina crater. Most know of it as punchbowl.
